Spring has finally sprung at Laurelin Retreat - the grass is growing, the apple trees blossoming, and flowers blooming. We have been working hard to get ready for another year of guests and events.
Outdoors we've trimmed dead tree limbs, are working on weeding the perennial flower bed, and are planting annual flowers in the boxes and pots. Mowing will have to happen soon. In 3 weeks we will be having our traditionally muddy driveway entirely redone so there will be no more issues with it. And later in the summer the barn/trailer circular driveway will be improved.
Building projects we are working on include putting the finishing touches on the downstairs class and ritual room, and finishing the inside and outside trim of the chapel. The house also has some trim that needs to be finished. There will also be a handicapped accessible ramp to the house in the next couple months.
There are more projects big and small in the works..... many very exciting changes. We'll let you know more about them as they start to come to fruition.
