Wild Ancestors Shrine

Following is information about how the Wild Ancestors Shrine is ideally honored:

This shrine is dedicated to the non-human ancestors of all the beings who have occupied this land and the wisdom that can be found when we quiet the thinking mind and rely on our animal instincts and awareness. You may add other small stones to the shrine or offer other natural objects that might have spirits or be useful to our animal community.

There are eight official shrines at Laurelin.

 

Four of the Shrines are to Greek gods and goddesses:

​

-Hermes

-Aphrodite

-Pan

-Nymphs

 

 

Four shrines are dedicated to local features:

​

-Community (which can also be a Greek shrine for Hertha)

​-Water

​-Wild Ancestors

​-Stone Circle
